Since Agency Models and Talent opened in 1996 we have been in a constant state of evolution.
Initially, it was our goal to conquer all areas of this industry. We worked on feature films with such powerhouses as New Line Cinema, supplied talent for music videos for Aerosmith and Prince, discovered super models that ended up on the covers of Vogue and in major campaigns, produced fashion shows and supplied all of the models for a national home shopping channel. In recent years Agency has concentrated more on supplying models and actors for television commercials and commercial print.
The owners of Agency have worked in the modeling and acting industry in the Twin Cities since the 80's and feel that we have grown and adapted with the market as it changes. What hasn't changed over the years is Agency's commitment to excellence. We are accessible to our clients 24/7 and our staff has an extensive knowledge of our talent and their abilities.
Agency is continually looking for new models and actors of all ages with great personalities and positive attitudes. If you have ever had an inclination to look into this industry, please send us a photo and your personal stats to see if we can work with you.

Kari Larson, founding member and co-owner of Agency Models and Talent, came to Minneapolis in 1988 with nothing but a rape whistle and a dream. She quickly found herself working in the glamorous world of commercial print, modeling sleeping bags, rayon pant suits with elastic waist bands, and plastic floaties in an ice cold swimming pool at 5 AM. She then moved into working as an on-air talent on a home shopping channel (CVN now QVC) where she schlepped 14K herringbone necklaces and fur coats of a questionable origin. To support her habit of adopting gimpy shelter pets, she also worked as a makeup artist and a modeling school instructor where young hopefuls paid $5,000 to learn how to walk with a book on their heads.
When Ms. Larson tired of living on a diet of celery and crystal light, she became a talent agent and then a short time later, opened Agency Models and Talent, where she unabashedly exploits people for their looks and abilities.
Maria spent a good part of her early adult life dreaming of becoming a sports announcer or comedian (they both seemed like totally attainable goals at the time). However, after realizing her own dreams for being on-screen talent were slim to none, Maria set her sites on making the dream a realty for other wonderful models and actors. Maria's coaching and comedic skill are still used on a daily basis, as she is Agency's Co-Founder/Owner and the resident " Jack of All Trades. "
While she's booking models or working with clients, Maria is constantly strategizing and implementing new ideas to help Agency Models and Talent grow! Maria puts her heart and soul into everything she does.
With a background in production, event planning, and marketing, Maria has worked all over the world for clients like CVN, ESPN, MTV, and the International Special Olympics. She seamlessly segued into the Modeling and Talent industry 16 years ago.
When she's not working, watching sports, or hanging out her dog Sicily, Maria spends her time traveling the world looking for super models, and of course the Chupacabra.
